It Is Worth Your Visiting These Less-populated Beautiful Heat-escaping Sites in Wulong County

Wu River Gallery

As the longest tributary in Three Gorges Reservoir, Wu River runs through the entire Wulong County. The part of Wu River has been traditionally reputed as Dangerous Wu River, Thousand-Kilometer-Long Gallery. It seems that boat runs and people appear in the painting when the visitors travel through Wu River by boat.

Opening hours: the pleasure boats are available for 3 to 5 shifts on a weekly basis. Each shift starts at 8:00 p.m. The cruise ship embarks upon the journey from Chaotianmen Wharf and flows into Wu River Gallery the very next morning, and arrives at Wulong County at 9:00 p.m. before it returns at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon on the third day. (be subject to the actual plan made by the local travel agencies)

Furong River

Furong River is a major tributary on the left bank on the lower reach of Wu River. You have an overlook to the jade-like Furong River if you take the cableway. Alternatively, you may also be amid the green sea by taking the boat and take an amazing look at the natural beauty. Here, you can watch closely Francois's Leaf Monkey and groups of macaque, two National First-class Rare Animals.

Opening hours: 8:00 a.m.-17:00 p.m. (from April to October) 9:00 a.m.-16:30 p.m. (from November to March)

Ticket: Furong River cruise ship RMB 120 per person (RMB 20 for cableway included) and RMB 80 per person for speedy crossing-river slide (charged for return trip). Student ticket is not available.

Zhuzi Creek

Zhuzi Creek is a tributary of Furong River in Wulong County, stretching over 5 kilometers. Looking down into the distance while standing on the bank of the creek, you may see the quiet Wu River on the left hand side and muddy Furong River on the right hand side. There is natural waterfall over the creek which falls down like silver bead, grand-looking and spectacular. The visitors can take the boat on the lower reach and breathe in fresh air while feasting on the nice views of both banks.

Zhongshiyuan Tiankeng (or Skyhole)

Zhongshiyuan Tiankeng is developed in the stratum of Lower Triassic Series Feixianguan Formation and Jialing River Formation. At the bottom of Tiankeng, there are 19 households of primitive inhabitants. As it remains undeveloped, the primitive lifestyle can be found there and the traffic conditions are harsh. It is best to go there by self-driving or a chartered bus.

Huangbaidu Rafting

Huangbaidu Rafting is a nice option if you are interested in water-based fun. The rafting is 8km long with nice natural views on both banks. The canyon is deep and steep. As you raft to the slow part of flow on the lower reach, everybody can enjoy water-based games which bring you coolness.

Baima Mountain

There are many bends along the road on Baima Mountain which are trials to test the driving skills. Strolling through Huangbaitang Alpine Wetland seems walking in the painting. The big fans of photography can not afford to miss it. Baima Mountain also features alpine azalea sea in tens of thousands of mu. Fragrant air swarms soon as breeze passes by.
